Multimillion Dollar Renovations for Montauk Marina
By Christina Bohnstengel

Spring is a time of rebirth, and as such the Montauk Yacht Club Resort & Marina is reopening its renovated doors just in time. The historic property, steeped in prohibition-era legacy, opened for guests on April 1, 2009.
Indianapolis racer Caleb Bragg originally designed the property as his private summer getaway. Florenz Zeigfield later bought the prime piece of Montauk real estate and renamed it The Ziegfield Estates. Today, the multimillion dollar redesign of the yacht club includes 107 guestrooms with views of Lake Montauk and 23 private luxury villas, along with a full-service spa and fitness center, upscale retail, dining, and nightlife experiences. Outdoor amenities on 32 acres of recreational space include a private beach, tennis, indoor and outdoor pools, and most importantly, a 232-slip marina.

“The Montauk Yacht Club Resort & Marina is a Hamptons classic,” said Andrew Farkas, Founder and Chairman of Island Global Yachting, owners of the Resort. “We are dedicated to the Yacht Club’s fabled past and its legacy in the community, and have carefully designed this renovation to not only restore this grande dame to her former glory, but to carry her forward for the next 80 years.”
This summer the Montauk Yacht Club Resort & Marina will celebrate a grand 80th anniversary bash.
