Ingemansson’s Solar Gem

We professed an affinity for Dennis Ingemansson’s Dubai Sea Limousine in Haute Living’s Dubai-themed edition last fall. The solar powered hovercraft is an innovative concept that is designed as an eco-friendly mode of transportation to and from the islands of The World. The designer has turned his “green” efforts to a larger water vessel. The Solar Gem megayacht is made from the lightest possible recyclable materials, and features a hybrid electric system powered by solar and wind energy.
The eco-friendly yacht is equally luxurious, and comes with one owner suite with Jacuzzi, two VIP suites with Jacuzzi and 10 guest rooms fitted with all the lavish amenities. The tenders/toys include an EC135 helicopter, one Dubai Sea Limousine, four Jet skis and two Jacuzzis. The 68.9-meter eco-friendly luxury superyacht is able to cruise at a maximum speed of 22 knots. With eco-friendly luxury yachting becoming quite popular with the super rich, we are going to see many more green yacht designs in the near future.
