A super yacht that comes equipped with a garage designated for a luxury sports car: what more could any affluent yachting/auto enthusiast want?
The largest sailing trimaran in the world features a garage that fits the McLaren MP4-12C perfectly. This CXL trimaran, complete with retractable outer hulls designed by McLaren Applied Technologies, is the only vessel of its kind. When the outer hulls are fully extended, the yacht elongates to 75 feet in width.
Since a 75-foot wide hull poses a problem for entering smaller marinas, the boat’s beam width shrinks down to 36 feet wide when the hulls retract.
It’s rumored that construction will be at Tamsen Maritime and that Bluewater Yachting will handle the CXL’s marketing.
