Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko is the owner of the ultra sleek $300 million Super Yacht ‘A’ designed by renowned French designer Philippe Starck. The 394-foot yacht has been the talk of the seas for five years, inspiring less impressive copycats with its radical and unique shape.
With 23,600 square feet of living space, the boat’s interior departs dramatically from the conventional yacht design with Baccarat-crystal tables, shiny white finishes and polished silver.
Yacht ‘A’ is designed to outrun any potential dangers, with twin high-speed diesel engines delivering 24,000 horsepower and push the 5,959-gross-ton ship to 24 knots, roughly one-third faster than most boats its size.
